Nurse Unit Manager

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Nurse Unit Manager or an experienced ANUM to lead our perioperative day surgery team in Hobart. This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing theatre, anaesthetics, and recovery, ensuring patients receive the highest standards of care. You will manage daily operations, staff performance, and clinical governance while driving continuous improvement and operational efficiency.


Skills and Experience

• Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent with current AHPRA registration
• Proven leadership experience in operating theatres, anaesthetics, or recovery
• Strong clinical decision-making and ability to manage complex patient care
• Experience in workforce planning, rostering, and team development
• Knowledge of NSQHSS, ANZCA, ACORN, and infection control standards
• Ability to work under pressure, adapt to change, and deliver results
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
